During this time of the year, stress is at an all time high. As the school year comes to a close, last minute tests, essays, deadlines, and exams pile up until you feel like you’re drowning in a sea of to-do lists and unfinished business. Now that my days are filled with freak-outs and cram sessions, I realize I need to take an afternoon off and spend some quality relaxation time in a homemade spa.
First, maximize relaxation in a calming bubble bath. Gather all of your favorite candles and light them all around the bathtub. Next fill your bath with bubbles and any other soaks you desire (I’ve been using this stress relieving bubble bath from Bath & Body Works). Put on a relaxing playlist (may I suggest some John Mayer or Penny & Sparrow) and pull out your favorite book (currently reading: Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn) and take your time soaking in the suds.
But the pampering doesn’t stop when the bath is over. Make yourself feel as beautiful as you truly are by treating yourself to am at home mani-pedi and facial. Spay yourself with your favorite body mist and get to it! Paint your nails your favorite color (may I suggest Bikini So Teeny by Essie) and grab a super cheap and easy DIY face mask form Target like these Masque Bar facials and relax as you enjoy an at home spa in the midst of the end of the year craziness.
Even if your aren’t crazy stressed like I am (lucky you) take some time out of your week to treat yourself to a little pampering. Trust me, you deserve it. And tell me what you to to pamper yourself in the comments!
